Geography - Making aerial maps

Today we looked at maps - what they are and why they are important. We looked at some examples of different maps. 

We then looked at some aerial maps and discussed what we could see in each map. 

The children then used the loose parts to make their own aerial maps of the classroom. Everyone paid close attention to detail and tried to show each area of the classroom.
