We were really lucky this afternoon that Michelle came in and saw us to do some Christmas themed dance, gymnastics, stretches and games! The children really enjoyed it!
Beech class have enjoyed exploring the classroom and the outside area over the past two weeks. They are now competing challenges in different areas of the classroom and have started to take photos of their challenges using the ipads.
This week in Science we compared some materials. We were tying to work out which were the most absorbent. We tested paper, sponge, tissue and cloth. Before our experiment the children made good predictions and tried to explain why they thought that material would be the most absorbent. We then put the materials in pots of water and left them for two minutes. We took them out to see which pot had the least amount of water in them. Some children were surprised to find out that the tissue was the most absorbent.
This week, we went back to our hand printing pictures and decorated them by looking and observing flowers, then using a black pen to create floral patterns over the top of our handprints. They all looked wonderful!
