We have continued to explore our new Science topic of materials, and this time we looked around the classroom to see if we could tally up and spot the most common material used in our environment!
We continued looking at materials in Science. We went on a hunt around the classroom today to see if we could find things made out of different objects. We found things made out of wood, plastic, fabric, glass and metal.
This week we looked back at what a map is and how we can use this. We introduced the term ‘ Birds Eye view ’ when discussing maps and made our own ‘map’ of our classroom using blocks from a bird's eye view .
Today we looked at maps - what they are and why they are important. We looked at some examples of different maps. We then looked at some aerial maps and discussed what we could see in each map. The children then used the loose parts to make their own aerial maps of the classroom. Everyone paid close attention to detail and tried to show each area of the classroom. .
